We are in unusual times during this pandemic.
Teen Court typically handles misdemeanor-level juvenile offenses as a diversion opportunity. But currently, that program is underutilized due to the virtual nature of our world right now.
IF you feel you have ANY use for the skills and strengths of our program, please reach out to work with them.
Their strength is that they have a pool of youth volunteers who really want to make a positive difference in their community. They have teen volunteers ready and willing to help their peers.
What is Teen Court?
Teen Court Jury Council is operational and is a virtual peer-led process that can address behavioral type offenses. The teens are trained in a strength-based, trauma-informed, restorative approach. And they can be creative in order to serve the needs of this moment.
If you would like to discuss teen court further, have any questions, or have ideas for other behavioral types of cases that would benefit from a peer-led process, please reach out to:
Please note, this program is being piloted with Zane Middle School and EHS only for now
