Continue reading Waterfront Eureka Plan WorkshopThe City of Eureka has created a draft a Citywide Public Facilities Master Plan to align current community objectives for public facilities with the City’s overall planning goals and Capital Improvement expenditures. The Plan expands upon the City’s practice of portraying clear objectives for public facilities and establishing a future vision and achievement strategies to implement improvements to public facilities. The information obtained from the Plan as well as concepts presented within can act as a planning and maintenance guide for the City of Eureka.

We also invite the community to attend this public meeting to receive a short presentation and to provide feedback.

This trail would connect the Waterfront Trail at Tydd Street to the North to Sequoia Park in the South. The trail is currently in the planning phase and the City would like to invite you to learn more about the project.

The City of Eureka has been awarded a Brownfields Assessment Cooperative Agreement from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to assess brownfield sites – properties potentially impacted by hazardous substances and/or petroleum – along the waterfront and Balloon Track areas adjacent to Humboldt Bay.
Join us for a Zoom presentation and discussion on the grant, locations to be assessed, the next steps for assessment, environmental remediation planning, and potential redevelopment of the sites.

The City of Eureka is applying for funding to make improvements to Cooper Gulch Park. We would like to gather your input and feedback to identify priorities about the future of this community space.
There are three meeting times; pick which is best for you.

The City of Eureka Parks & Recreation Department wants to open a dialog with users of Hammond Park to help us learn how we can improve this park that serves so many of our residents.
We have an opportunity to make some upgrades to Hammond Park and increase its value as a recreational asset for the neighborhoods that it serves.
The State of California Department of Parks & Recreation’s California Youth Soccer and Recreation Development Program is a chance for the City to compete for grant funding to update the basketball court, bathrooms, and irrigation system.
Come share your thoughts on Hammond Park and help us make plans for the future!
