Reminder: Sign up for Classes Early to Avoid Cancellation

At Eureka Community Services, we love to provide lots of fun community classes.

If you’d like to attend a community class (or you’d like your kids to do so), it’s important to register early because some of these excellent programs may be cancelled if you wait until the last minute to register because all program need to be cost effective and cannot run if we don’t get enough participants.

Please register early to avoid disappointment.

Safety Saturday With Making Headway Center for Brain Injury Recovery and Community Services

Join Us and Making Headway Center for Brain Injury Recovery for Opening of their New Facility

If you have a brain or know someone who does, Fun, Free, Family-friendly Safety Saturday is for you!

Kids of all ages will enjoy safety demonstrations, free helmet fittings, helmet decorating, helmet giveaways and of course, the ever-popular Drunk Goggle Challenge. Ride the Seatbelt Convincer, enjoy “brainey” videos, learn about Stroke Awareness and have fun!

Adult Beginning Ceramics Class Starts March 23

This class is an introduction to ceramics and is designed to teach students the basics of crafting handbuilt ceramic pieces, glaze application, and design.

Students will have 6 projects to choose from or may work on pieces of their own design. Open to all skill levels.

Beginning Family Ceramics Class Starts Mar 26

Are you or your family members new to ceramics or never participated in Family Ceramics before? This class is perfect for you!

This class will focus on creating several pieces to take home, including pinch pots, coil pieces, and more.

Finding time to spend with the family can be difficult, which is why Eureka Recreation is providing this 6-week long session of Family Ceramics to encourage families to get in some quality time and create art together.

Each member of the family will need to have a Waiver & Release of Liability on file by the first class date.

CPR Class on March 17

This class is what is called a “blended learning” CPR class which means students must spend two hours on their computers on an-online class before coming in to class for what will now only be two hours, instead of all day.

Two Toddler Soccer Classes Returning in March

Dribble, pass, shoot and score!

Youngsters will learn basic techniques of the world’s most popular, fast-moving game. It’s a real kick (sorry, couldn’t resist) and could anything be much cuter than a bunch of two to four-year-olds having a great time playing with a soccer ball?

Classes are non-competitive and run in a friendly and nurturing environment where parents, family, and friends are encouraged to cheer and support the participants.

Music and Movement For Very Young Children Starts Mar 10

Come swirl and twirl in this class, where fun and movement abound for the tiniest of dancers, boys and girls from two to four years of age.

Watch your child use his or her imagination as he or she develops:

  • Motor Skills
  • Body Awareness
  • Concentration
  • Creativity

Beginning dance techniques and natural movement will add to the fun of this class, where self expression is encouraged. (Parents, make sure to stay and watch your little ones bloom.)
