We are looking for adult volunteers to help us paint at Clara May Berry Park

We are looking for a small group of volunteer to help us with a painting project!

Pre-registration is required. Contact us to sign up. We are hoping to paint Saturday the 23^rd but the date is flexible.

Seeking Community Input on Clara May Berry Park

City of Eureka Applying for NRPA Grant Funding for Clara May Berry Park

The City of Eureka is excited to announce its application for the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) Play Space Grant.

This grant opportunity helps fund inclusive park improvements in under-served neighborhoods. The city is working hard to improve all city parks with the focus of this grant application being to develop Clara May Berry Park, next to the Humboldt County Main Library into an inclusive open space with specific sensory experiences designed for children with cognitive disabilities. 

The City of Eureka is seeking the community’s input on the future of this park. We want to hear from you.

Surveys will be open until April 5^th.

Official Launch of ABC Traveling Library August 19

The ABC (Accessible Books from CAPE) Traveling Library is a new program that
brings books directly to adults, children and families in need who experience
barriers to be able to visit a traditional library.

A book drive was started in April and already over 2,000 have been generously donated by the community.

Harry Potter Fan Art at Library

The Humboldt County Library in Eureka is accepting submissions of Harry Potter Fan Art from local teens!

They want to show off YOUR art at our Harry Potter Celebration on October 29^th! Just submit your Harry Potter themed, 2-dimensional art to the library in Eureka before Oct. 22^nd, and they’ll display it during the event. See the submission form for more details!
