Free Entry into Coed Softball Tournament

Eureka Parks & Recreation Adult Softball Co-Ed League has had more teams this season sign up than ever before!

We’d like to thank you for your participation and support, so we are excited to offer entry into the 7^th Annual “Redwood Coast Grand Slam” coed softball tournament absolutely free!

The double elimination tournament will take place on Saturday, July 29th and is open to all current coed teams, or anybody that wants to put a new team together.

The tournament will be part of the 4^th annual “Get Out & Play Day.”  (#gopd2017) There will be authentic hand-crafted redwood trophies for the three top teams.  There will be an 8 team maximum, on a first-come, first-served basis, with registration taking place at the Adorni Center starting July 1st.

Get Out and Play Day is a huge event and lots of community organizations will have tables at Sequoia Park from 11:00AM to 4:00PM on July 29.

For the FREE community BBQ in Sequoia Park starting at 4:30 on Get Out and Play day, we have been provided with:

150 pounds of ground beef from Humboldt Grassfed Beef

50 veggie burgers from the Tofu Shop

Humboldt Soup Company/6th and E Eatery is providing:

• Hot dogs
• Tomatoes
• lettuce
• beverages
• Fresh baked buns for burgers and dogs
• Fresh cut watermelon
• Condiments

PLUS: They’re providing the staff to prepare everything in their commercial kitchen!

There will also be a beer garden (over 21 and not free) provided by Six Rivers Brewery and we’ll close off the night with a free screening of Big Hero 6, provided by the Humboldt Del Norte Film Commission.

We’re offering another week of Camp N.E.T. July 31^st – August 4^th.

What is Camp N.E.T.?

Eureka Parks & Recreation is excited to announce Camp N.E.T! A brand new specialized basketball camp for youth to refine their skills, learn new tricks of the game, become part of a team and have fun!

What Skill Levels is this Camp For?

Camp N.E.T. has drills that will meet all needs from beginning to next level athlete!

How is this different from any other basketball camp?

Camp N.E.T. combines high level basketball training with all of the fun and youth development you’ve come to expect from Eureka Parks & Recreation. Both recreation leaders and basketball coaches offer a fun, energetic week filled with team spirit, breakdown drills, games, competitions and a few surprises to offer a unique one of kind camp experience!

How Much Does it Cost?

Take the family on an interactive history lesson of Old Town

The city of Eureka’s Outdoor Recreation Program, Explore Eureka, in partnership with the Clarke Museum is launching weekly “Historical Walking Tours” in Old Town Eureka beginning Saturday, July 8.

The tours offer an interactive history lesson and are designed to be fun for the whole family. Tours take you up close and personal with the buildings and history of Old Town.

Redwood Coast Youth Invitational Baseball Tournament Registration

Bring your team to Eureka for a weekend of playing baseball on fields situated between Humboldt Bay and the Redwoods!

Is your youth baseball team tired of playing in the scorching heat during the summer time?  Then sign your youth team up for the City of Eureka Parks & Recreation’s “Redwood Coast Youth Invitational Baseball Tournament.”

We will be offering three different tournaments.
