The Humboldt Housing and Homeless Coalition (HHHC) will conduct a Point-in-Time count of people experiencing homelessness during the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 26.

Let’s Beautify Eureka – West Wabash Neighborhood

The City of Eureka is launching a brand-new Neighborhood Beautification Program and we need your help!

We are returning to W. Wabash to build on our efforts over the summer. This time, it will be on January 15. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

This event will focus on the West Wabash neighborhood. We’ll meet at Express Personnel at 14 West Wabash Street.

Adorni Conference Room Reopening

The Adorni will be re-opening our conference room for rentals starting 1/3/22.

Masks will be required at all times and capacity will be limited to 20 people max.

SEQUOIA PARK ZOO ANNOUNCES CONSERVATION GRANT OPPORTUNITY

EUREKA, CA – The Zoo’s Conservation Advisory Committee has opened the new cycle of conservation grants for 2022. The committee welcomes proposals for projects that have a clear and direct conservation impact on wildlife and/or habitat conservation and that are in line with the Zoo’s mission and conservation priorities. Special consideration is given to projects supporting local wildlife or habitats, although national and international projects are considered as well. Successful applicants are those whose projects can be completed within one year. The maximum award is $1,500. The deadline for applications is Friday, January 28, 2022, at 5:00 PM. Youth Basketball “Skills & Drills” Class 

Sign up your children for a Youth Basketball Class. Children will be divided into third and fourth graders; and fifth and sixth graders. All classes are coed.

Registration from Nov 29 – Dec 17, 2021 (First come, first served; don’t delay.)
Classes take place Jan 24 – Feb 18, 2022

Each participant will practice twice a week on Mondays & Wednesdays
from 4-5pm.
