The Humboldt Housing and Homeless Coalition (HHHC) will conduct a Point-in-Time count of people experiencing homelessness during the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 26.
EUREKA, CA – The Zoo’s Conservation Advisory Committee has opened the new cycle of conservation grants for 2022. The committee welcomes proposals for projects that have a clear and direct conservation impact on wildlife and/or habitat conservation and that are in line with the Zoo’s mission and conservation priorities. Special consideration is given to projects supporting local wildlife or habitats, although national and international projects are considered as well. Successful applicants are those whose projects can be completed within one year. The maximum award is $1,500. The deadline for applications is Friday, January 28, 2022, at 5:00 PM. Sign up your children for a Youth Basketball Class. Children will be divided into third and fourth graders; and fifth and sixth graders. All classes are coed.

Class #1 Grades 3 & 4 Each participant will practice twice a week on Mondays & Wednesdays from 4-5pm.
Class #2 Grades 3 & 4 Each participant will practice twice a week on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4-5pm.
Class #3 Grades 5 & 6 Each participant will practice twice a week on Mondays & Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30pm.
Class #4 Grades 5 & 6 Each participant will practice twice a week on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5:30-6:30pm.
