UPDATE: Camp N.E.T. Youth Basketball Camp Accepting Older Children

This update reflects the fact that the age range for children is from 8-13 instead of 8-11.

What is Camp N.E.T.?

Eureka Parks & Recreation is excited to announce Camp N.E.T! A brand new specialized basketball camp for youth to refine their skills, learn new tricks of the game, become part of a team and have fun!

What Skill Levels is this Camp For?

Camp N.E.T. has drills that will meet all needs from beginning to next level athlete!

How is this different from any other basketball camp?

Camp N.E.T. combines high level basketball training with all of the fun and youth development you’ve come to expect from Eureka Parks & Recreation. Both recreation leaders and basketball coaches offer a fun, energetic week filled with team spirit, breakdown drills, games, competitions and a few surprises to offer a unique one of kind camp experience!

How Much Does it Cost?

Camp N.E.T. is one of the most competitive high level basketball camps in the area. The cost is $120 for Eureka Residents and $123 for non-residents.

Adorni Center New Expanded Sunday Hours!

The Adorni Center’s Sunday schedule has expanded!

The entire gym is open an additional two hours; now staying open until 6:00PM, instead of 4:00.

The Schedule:

  • Pickle ball remains the same from 9AM-12Noon
  • Ladder play goes from 12Noon-1PM.
  • Volleyball is now in two courts from 1:30-3:30PM
  • Basketball goes from 4-6PM.

We’re trying out this new schedule; it might revert later in the year. So, get to the Adorni and have some fun!

Ribbon Cutting for New Basketball Courts This Saturday

Highland Park just got an upgrade!

Southwest Rotary raised funds at their Martini’s on the Bay Event to purchase new fencing, while Mercer Fraser donated a new surface overlay of the basketball courts and adjacent access path, and Hamanaka Painting donated new striping for the court.

Join us this Saturday for a special ribbon cutting of the courts, and help us celebrate the community coming together to help rehabilitate Highland Park!

The ribbon cutting takes place noon at Highland Park.

Strong by Zumba is Now at the Adorni

We’ve added STRONG by Zumba to our line up!

Stop counting the reps. Start training to the beat. STRONG by Zumba® combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, every lunge, every burpee is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep, and maybe even five more.

The Adorni Community Center is now offering STRONG by Zumba on the following days and times:

  • Wed evenings from 5:30-6:30PM with Michaele.
  • Saturday 11AM-12PM with Renee

Adorni Center Closed for Martin Luther King’s Birthday

The Adorni Center will be closed in honor of Martin Luther King’s Birthday on January 15.

The 2018 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration, hosted by Eureka NAACP, will take place.

The Lowest Family Rate in Humboldt Just Got Lower!

Save BIG getting in shape in 2018!

If you’ve been putting off getting in shape until after the holidays, NOW is the time to literally jump back into it and save big bucks!

Adorni has the lowest family rate in the area and we’re slashing it even more!

For the month of January, 2018, the Adorni will not only waive the initiation fee BUT IN ADDITION we’re slashing our rates by 20 percent!

January Rates:

  • Adult or Family Membership: $28 for the entire family for Eureka Residents/$32 for non residents. As always, if any one adult pays the normal rate for membership, everyone in the family is included as a member! (Normally when initiation fee is included, those rates would be $70 or $75!)
  • Senior Membership: $17.60 for Eureka Residents/$21 for non residents (normally when initiation fee is included, those rates would be $30 or $35!)
  • Youth Membership: $12 for Eureka Residents/$16 for non-residents (normally when initiation fee is included, those rates would be $25 or $30)

Two Camp N.E.T. Scholarships Available

One of Adorni’s members has generously donated to our Camp N.E.T. program for two scholarships!

 
For a child to qualify they need to have a Medi-Cal or California Partnership card. Scholarships will be given out on a first come/first served basis.

Donate Coats for Coats for the Cold

Coats for cold drop off boxCoats for the Cold is a local drive to collect warm coats and jackets for our community.

Please bring new or lightly used coats and jackets for adults and children to the Adorni Center. There is a bin in the lobby you can deposit them in. Your donation will help keep those in need warm this winter.
