A special opportunity is available to support an individual on their journey by gifting the healing benefits of live music.
Please consider sponsoring an UPLIFT participant by purchasing a ticket to donate for participants to attend a “Benefit Concert for Humboldt’s Homeless” featuring Melvin Seals and JGB, on February 29, 2020.
Whether or not you can attend this important community event, residents can help support houseless neighbors by purchasing tickets for those who might not be able to attend otherwise. To donate, please call (707-441-4248) or visit the Adorni Center (1011 Waterfront Drive) to purchase a ticket to donate. Sponsorships are also available for local businesses and organizations who would like to support this event through a monetary donation.
The concert takes place at the Eureka Municipal Auditorium. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7:30pm. This is an all-ages show, and food and libations will be available for purchase.
Tickets are available for $40 in advance or $45 at the door. You can purchase them for yourself or for others online at brownpapertickets.com or at The Works and Wildberries. The show is expected to sell out, so pre-sale tickets are recommended.

We are excited to welcome Melvin Seals and JGB to Eureka on Saturday, Feb. 29th for our first ever “Benefit Concert for Humboldt’s Homeless”, a fundraiser for Uplift Eureka.
You can make positive change in the community by joining us for a night of movin’ and groovin’ to the sweet tunes of the artist who helped pioneer and define what has now become “Jam Band Music”.
One hundred percent of proceeds from this event go directly to Uplift Eurekaprograms designed to support our houseless community members in accessing vital resources to obtain housing, employment, and to reclaim independence. You can have fun and know are you part of the solution towards addressing homelessness.
Melvin Seals has been a powerful presence in the music industry for over 30 years with a long established reputation as a performer, recording artist and producer. Melvin is most revered for his powerful, high spirited, Hammond B-3 organ, and keyboards in the Jerry Garcia Band.
Volunteers are Needed for This Year’s Point in Time Count on Tuesday, February 28th.
Every two years, the Humboldt Housing and Homeless Coalition (HHHC) conducts a Point in Time Count of the county’s homeless population. The purpose of the survey is to provide the HHHC with a snapshot of homelessness in Humboldt County at a specific point in time to gain general knowledge about trends and emerging problems and understand how to align services with the needs of our community.
Volunteers will receive training…and pizza!
If you’re interested in volunteering, please fill out the online application at goo.gl/livl0L
Online applications MUST be completed by Thursday, February 23rd in order to be considered.
