Zero Waste Open House at Recology Nov 12

You’re invited to join the City of Eureka’s ECO Eureka Program and Recology to celebrate Zero Waste Day!

Create fun zero waste crafts like beeswax wrap and recyclable gift wrap. Get a better understanding of how your recycling is processed here in Eureka with a recycling line tour. Recology staff will also be cooking up corn dogs- a zero waste food! This is a free and family friendly event.

We have Family Olympics at Sequoia Park for Get Out and Play Day, July 30 from 2pm to 4pm! Registration starts at 1:30pm.

We will be hosting a Skateboard Competition at Cooper Gulch for Get Out and Play Day from 10am to 3pm! Come down and show off those skills for a chance to win prizes and a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place trophies.

Free Admission at Discovery Museum for GOPD

The Redwood Discovery Museum will be offering FREE admission for all ages from 10am to 4pm! Come see all the cool exhibits they have to offer!

The Sequoia Park Zoo with be offering FREE admission for kids 12 & under with a paying adult. There will also be animal feedings every hour from noon to 4pm!

The Cal Poly Humboldt Aquatic Center with have free kayak, canoe and paddleboard demos from 1pm to 3pm. A great opportunity to get out and play on the bay!
