December Skateboard Camp

The purpose of this camp is to promote and encourage kids to be active and healthy through skating.

Campers will learn the fundamentals of skating through individual and group instruction. This camp will help kids focus on technique, skill, and safety. Each camper will be provided with elbow and knee pads. Campers will need to provide their own skateboard and helmet.

Home for the Holidays Decorating Contest

PRESS RELEASE

The City of Eureka presents the Mayor’s 2nd Annual Home for the Holidays Decorating Contest, designed to spread joy and holiday cheer throughout the city.

Mayor Seaman is inviting Eureka residents to decorate their homes with their best holiday décor. This is an opportunity to drive the city to view the beautifully decorated homes in the City.

Individuals who have decorated their homes in an exceptional and creative manner will be recognized for their hard work.

The home with the most votes will receive the Mayor’s Holiday Award recognizing them for their contribution to bringing holiday cheer to our community.

Rules & Regulations

Youth Basketball “Skills & Drills” Class

Sign up your children for a Youth Basketball Class. Children will be divided into third and fourth graders; and fifth and sixth graders. All classes are coed.

Registration from Nov 29 – Dec 17, 2021 (First come, first served; don’t delay.)
Classes take place Jan 24 – Feb 18, 2022

Details:

Class #1  Grades 3 & 4  Each participant will practice twice a week on Mondays & Wednesdays from 4-5pm.	Class #2  Grades 3 & 4   Each participant will practice twice a week on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4-5pm.
Class #3  Grades 5 & 6  Each participant will practice twice a week on Mondays & Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30pm.	Class #4  Grades 5 & 6   Each participant will practice twice a week on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5:30-6:30pm.

Eureka Trash Bash October 4

Join the City of Eureka and PacOut Green Team for our bi-monthly Trash Bash!

Details:

• We will meet at Vigo St. next to the new Pacific Plaza by MOD Pizza.
• The cleanup will take place from 9am-10:30am.
• We always end with a group photo and raffle!
• When you arrive, you will need to sign in and get supplies.

We are so impressed by our local businesses and how creative and strong they have been through this year of uncertainty. Many of those businesses struggled through the tourism season, in what normally would be one of the most successful parts of the year.

Winter Holiday Gift Program

The Community Access Project for Eureka (C.A.P.E.) is organizing a Winter Holiday Gift Program for local children who reside at the Eureka Rescue Mission Women’s Shelter and The Serenity Inn as well as children served by the Betty Chinn Homeless Foundation. 

C.A.P.E. staff, along with Santa Clause & his elf, will be delivering gifts to the children as a special holiday treat.

C.A.P.E. would greatly appreciate monetary donations to help ensure every child receives a holiday gift!
