Camp Cooper Free Summer Day Camp Expands

Applications for this free day camp are being accepted now through April 30.

FREE!For over 25 years, the City of Eureka has been proud to provide a free summer day camp for the community members in need. Now, thanks to a grant from California State Parks, Eureka Parks & Recreation has been able to expand its Camp Cooper program into an 8-hour environmental education day camp.

This camp is designed to be a resource for low-income and disadvantaged youth and their families.

Due to limited spaces in this program,  Eureka Parks & Recreation has created a competitive application process for families based on level of need that will secure them a spot for the entire summer.

Details:

  • Camp runs June 19 through August 11
  • Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM
  • Ages 5-12
  • Deadline to pick up application is April 30
  • Families will be informed by May 12
