Seems like the older we get the harder we fall, and the harder we try to avoid it! When was the last time you fell? Was it while you were doing something new, something fun, or not so much? Did you hurt yourself?
Oh my goodness, the wonderful falls I’ve had as an older adult:
See, that’s what I LOVE about functional fitness. Sometimes we’re going to fall down. The question is, can you get UP? If you hurt yourself falling, can you HEAL up?? Functional fitness focuses on practical movement and daily life activities. Be strong. Be nimble. Be flexible. Keep a wide range of motion in all your joints. Fall and then spring up to do it again!
The City of Eureka is taking steps to suspend many of its public gatherings throughout the City until the end of March. The decision follows recommendations from the California Department of Public Health to slow the spread of the COVID-19.
The following facilities, programs, and activities will be suspended through March 31st 2020:

This class is the perfect environment for your little one to learn the very basic fundamentals of basketball, including ball handling and shooting. Emphasis will be on fun and games with some focus on basic ball handling, increased hand-eye coordination, self-confidence and teamwork.

Eureka Community Services is offering a baking basics class for your children to learn the importance of kitchen safety, thoroughly reading recipes and all the goodness that comes from the kitchen.
Children will learn how to create simple recipes that they will record in their recipe books to take home at the end of the session.
