FREE Interpretive Leisure Bike Tour Highlighting Newest Section of Waterfront Trail

FREE!Eureka Community Services, in partnership with HSU’s Recreation Administration Department is offering a FREE interpretive leisure bike tour highlighting the newest section of the Eureka waterfront trail.

Staff will guide a tour along the waterfront, stopping at several locations along the way to discuss the history and culture of the surrounding waterfront area, as well as touch on the development of the trail system.

This event is open to all ages and is perfect to take the whole family too!

Free Bike Rodeo and Safety Fair

A FREE Bike Rodeo and Safety Fair at the Marshall Family Resource Center

It will be Saturday, September 17th from 10am – 1pm at 2100 J Street Eureka, to help students and families learn to bicycle safely. A skills course will give students the opportunity to improve their cycling skills and practice riding in a straight line, making turns, and using hand signals. Loaner bicycles and free helmets will be available to those who do not bring their own, however participants are encouraged to bring their own bicycles and helmets and can receive additional raffle tickets and a free professional bicycle safety check for doing so.
