Summer Camps Returning

Summer Day Camps return June 14 through August 6!

They will include Camp Cooper (application & referral base only) and Camp Muni. 

All Covid protocols are in place; temperature checks, masks, distancing. Free lunch will be provided for both camps by Eureka City Schools.

Both camps will operate Monday-Friday 8:00am-5pm and are for youth ages 5-12 years. Camp Muni will be $120/week for Eureka residents and $130/week for non-residents.

Youth Basketball Conditioning Class Delayed Start

UPDATE: The City of Eureka’s Community Service Department is postponing their Youth Basketball Conditioning Class starting April 26th to Monday, May 3rd due to inclement weather. Spots are currently open for registration.  The class is for youth ages 11-17 and designed for student athletes who want to stay in top shape but can’t compete due to Covid-19. (See the original post here.)

There will be an experienced facilitator leading each class. 

Registration: $25/week.  Class runs from Monday-Thursday from 5:00-6:00pm at Hammond Park Basketball Court.

Week of the Young Child This Week

Join us for a week of fun as we celebrate The Week of the Young Child

Eureka Community Services has partnered with Humboldt State University recreation administration students to plan an exciting week of activities focused on children and families.

Each day will feature a slate of activities focused on a specific theme, ranging from art to cooking, to outdoor fun.

Spring Sports Conditioning Classes for Youth

The City of Eureka’s Community Services Department is excited to announce three different Spring Sports Conditioning Classes for youth ages 11-17.  

The class is designed for student athletes who want to stay in top shape but can’t compete due to Covid-19 health regulations.  

Each week will feature conditioning drills for a specific sport including Soccer, Baseball/Softball, and Basketball (Outdoors).  There will be an experienced facilitator leading each class.  

Each participant can sign up for an individual week or all three weeks at a discounted rate.
