The Humboldt County Department of Health & Human Services in partnership with the Adorni Center is providing a FREE Tai Chi class in the Adorni Center Conference Room beginning March 28th from 5:30-6:30pm and will continue every Monday & Wednesday until June 22nd.

This magical day has all the makings for an Egg-cellent time! Participants will work with their families, follow Easter clues, complete clever challenges and discover Easter eggs in the most unusual of places. Join us on March 26th from 10am-12pm for a hoppin’ good time at Carson Park. This event is free for ages 10 & under.
Finding time to spend with the family can be difficult, which is why Eureka Recreation is providing this 6-week long session of Family Ceramics to encourage families to get in some quality time and create art together. This class will focus on creating several pieces to take home, including bowls, cups, sculptures and “family tree” hand impressions.
Class fee includes up to two adults and two children with a $5 fee per additional family member.
Pre-registration is required.
Did you know that reading to young children increases brain development at an early age and better prepares them for future learning?
Children who are read to at an early age are also more likely to be able to begin to read on time. Reading to infants allows for a social and emotional development that is vital for a happy and healthy family to flourish.
Parks & Recreation has partnered with the Betty Kwan Chinn Day Center to offer a Family Literacy Program for 0-5 year olds & their families. This program is free and will includes a featured book of the week read out loud to the group, along with accompanying songs & activities.
Does your family want to get out of the house, get active and have some fun?
We have old-fashioned Roller Skates and Roller Blades for all ages. The perfect place to have some fun with your kids or just relax while your children work out their energy! The Eureka Muni (12th & F St.) is open to the public for Roller Skating on Fridays & Saturdays from 6pm—8:30pm. Skate rental is included in the admission price and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
