Need Volunteers for Fun, Creative Project

We are looking to create an interactive, creative, fun, family-oriented experience to Explore Eureka and to showcase the beauty of our 13 city parks and our new Eureka waterfront trail.

To be honest, we’re not sure what it would be like yet but the intent is to get local folks – as well as tourists – to get out on the trail and into our parks, be active, showcase so much of what Eureka has to offer – all while having a good time.

All we know for sure right now is that it will have a social media component and a brochure or map to go with it. Some of our potential ideas include:

  • Photo contests
  • Video contests
  • Scavenger hunts
  • Activity challenges

We need your help!

If you would like to be in on the very early stages of this exciting project and then to help steer it in the future, we’re looking for volunteers to attend a community meeting at the Adorni Center Conference Room on Wednesday April 10 at 5:30PM.

Additional Bench on Waterfront Trail

The latest bench to make its debut on the Waterfront Trail is called the “Timber Heritage Bench.”

It’s by Jona Kavanaugh and it’s located by amphitheater at Halvorsen Park.

It’s a perfect bench to photograph for the Great Eureka Bench Crawl.
