GOPD Scavenger Hunt Guide now on line

We’ve already been getting requests for the Scavenger Hunt guide.

You’ll be able to pick up your copy on Get Out & Play Day on July 27 at the Clarke Plaza Street Fair starting at noon. However, if you just can’t wait, you can download it here.

Remember, however, per the rules below; any photos that you have to upload need to be date stamped on July 27, 2019 so wait until #gopd2019 before you hit the route.

Join us for our first-ever Get Out & Play Day Bar Crawl!

Kick off #gopd2019 eve with a night on the town!

We  have lots of local bars participating offering special drinks of which partial proceeds contributed to Get Out and Play Day. You get to explore the libations of Old Town, support local businesses, and help donate Get Out and Play Day!

Kicks and Tricks Skate Park Contest Returns to GOPD

This event is way fun!

The 6th Annual Kicks & Tricks Skateboard Competition will once again be a part of Get Out and Play Day. This is a free competition open to all ages and skill levels.

Get Out and Play Day – First Look!

Get ready to pick up your free schedule of all things GOPD!

Golf Course Grand Re-Opening Event on Get Out and Play Day!

In case you hadn’t heard, the Eureka Golf Course has been undergoing some major upgrades and changes.

So, what better date to show them off than Get Out & Play Day? Join the festivities. They’re free!

Some of the events include:

• Representatives from local media will face off against each other
• Local Politicians will also face off against each other
• Representatives from various local police departments will face off against each other
• City Department heads will face off against each other
• Fun Family Activities will take place throughout the entire event
• There will also be Long Drive & Putting contests
• Much more…

Kids free at the Zoo on Get Out and Play Day!

You probably already knew that kids under 12 get in free at the Sequoia Park Zoo (with a paying adult), on #GOPD2019 but you didn’t know that there are lots of special events taking place at the zoo that day too!

As example, on Get Out & Play Day there will be an animal feeding, encounter or keeper talk every hour from Noon – 4:00 (Noon, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00).

Free Interpretative Tour of Waterfront Trail on Get Out and Play Day

Join us on a free interpretive walk on the north part of the trail (“phase C”) as part of Get Out and Play Day.

Learn the history and value of our beautiful waterfront and bay.  You’ll walk at a leisurely pace, enjoying the view and sharing with others.

Bring walking shoes.
