Making Headway Center for Brain Injury Recovery, at 730 K Street in Eureka, works toward the prevention of brain injuries through education, and helps those who have sustained brain injuries to gain access to individualized services, support and opportunities for independence. Through a variety of programs and services Making Headway Center helps individuals develop the skills necessary to adapt and mitigate the issues caused by brain injury. The agency strives to prevent brain injuries by promoting safe practices and providing properly fitted helmets to children in need.

Get Out and Play Day 2017 will be July 29, 2017.
It’s our biggest event of the year with thousands and thousands of folks coming out all over Eureka.
We’re looking for a graphic designer who can put together a logo for the event for our community. If you’re that person – or you know someone who is – please get in touch ASAP.
This update announces that a tour of the Clarke Museum is now included in the tour if you show up at 1:30 instead of 1:45.
The city of Eureka’s Outdoor Recreation Program, Explore Eureka, in partnership with the Clarke Museum is continuing to conduct weekly “Historical Walking Tours” in Old Town Eureka each Saturday at 2:00 through August, 2016. Please show up at 1:45 to register. If you choose, you can show up at 1:30 and also be treated to a tour of the Clarke Museum.
