Eureka to Launch Community Scavenger Hunt to Revitalize Old Town and Downtown Eureka

Have you been looking for a way to help your community during these tough times?

Well, get ready to do that starting Friday, July 24, 2020 (updated) and have fun in Old Town and Downtown Eureka (“The Heart of Eureka.”)

We know there is a positive shift and an improved collective attitude in our community when we bring people together for a common goal, and since the pandemic has challenged us on so many fronts,  we are excited to announce an opportunity to reunite, reconnect, and recover by simply visiting Old Town and Downtown for a playful adventure for all ages: a self-led Community Scavenger Hunt in the “Heart of Eureka”.

How does it work?

You visit local businesses, public art, and historic buildings, hunting for answers to the listed questions in a free booklet. Along the way, you can learn about the special people and places we hold dear while having fun and helping our community rebuild our Old Town and Downtown Districts.

All completed booklets will be entered into a random prize drawing to win items donated from participating businesses. There is also a social media-based photo contest so you can share your adventure and be eligible for even more prizes!

When does this start?

The booklets will be available starting Friday, July 24, 2020 (updated), from participating merchants (listed below). You’ll be able to print out your own booklet if you wish by following this link. (updated)
