City Of Eureka Launches Zero Waste Community Baseline Survey

Help the City plan for Zero Waste and be entered in a drawing to win Zero Waste prizes!

Take the survey here.

The City wants you involved the upcoming Zero Waste Action planning process! Residents, non-residents that work here, and frequent visitors are invited to participate via the November 2019 baseline survey.

Designed to solicit input early in the development of the Zero Waste Action Plan, the survey will be launched at the next City Council meeting on Tuesday, November 5. A short multiple-choice on-line survey, it should take less than 10-minutes to complete. All respondents will be automatically entered into a free drawing to win zero waste prizes. Your input will provide needed information for goal setting and ideas for practical problem solving. The results will be available on the City website in mid-January. A second survey will be conducted once the draft Action Plan is ready for community review.

Join the City of Eureka as we shift our approach to sustainable materials management and Zero Waste prevention strategies by refusing, reducing, reusing, and recycling. Innovative waste reduction initiatives can become a point of pride for Eureka. Individual and business actions can have a measurable impact and as a community, we can make a real difference.

You can participate in the Zero Waste Action Plan Baseline Survey online via this link. Paper surveys are also available at the Community Services Department at 1011 Waterfront Drive.
