Special FREE Events Planned at Zoo for GOPD 2018

It’s kids free day at the Zoo on Get Out and Play Day!

You probably already knew that kids under 12 get in free at the Sequoia Park Zoo (with a paying adult), but you didn’t know that there are lots of special events taking place at the zoo that day too!

For Get Out and Play Day there will be an animal feeding, encounter or keeper talk every hour from Noon – 4:00 (Noon, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00). There will definitely be river otter and red panda feedings with a schedule posted on that day that has everything listed.

The zoo will also be staffing the Nature Exchange booth in Secrets of the Forest where there will be biofacts (skulls, pelts, antlers, etc) and live invertebrates (Madagascar hissing cockroaches, tarantula, walking sticks); and staff in the Learning Lab with nature crafts and coloring pages, and in the Nature Play Area there will be space for free play and getting dirty.

Save the date! #gopd2018 is right around the corner!
