Here’s where things are as of July 21, 2016 for #GOPD2016

Grand Slam Tournament – 8am-8pm at Kennedy/Hartman fields

Play on the Bay – 12:00 to 4:00 –  at the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center and Halvorsen Park including:

  • Kayak Roll-over demos
  • Paddleboard races
  • Informational booths
  • Other fun activities to follow!

Fitness in the Park at Sequoia Park including:

  • 9-10:30am – Yoga
  • 11am-12:30pm – Zumba (kids and then all ages)
  • 1-2pm – Body Combat

Family Olympics – 3-4:30pm (Registration begins at 2:30pm) at Sequoia Park:

  • Fun challenges for the whole family to complete – including a $300 gift certificate to Furniture Design Center
  • Prize packages for top three teams and consolation prizes for all

Rockin’ in the Redwoods – 5-8pm – Sequoia Park

  • Featuring a beer garden provided by Six Rivers Brewery

Historic Tours of Old Town in conjunction with the Clarke Museum

  • Every Saturday in July and August from 2:00 to 3:00

Other events taking place on Get Out and Play Day

  • Kids 12 & under FREE at Sequoia Park Zoo!
  • Kids 12 & under FREE golfing at Eureka Golf Course
  • Children get a free ride on the Madaket a paying adult.
  • Interpretive Tour of the Hikshari’ Trail from 11:30 to 1PM.
  • Participants will be guided along to each event using an activity passport sponsored by E.C.O. Eureka and PG&E that will include trivia about how to conserve natural resources and be more environmentally conscious.
